For Dermal Filler, Radiesse & Sculptra ONLY

For Dermal Filler, Radiesse and Sculptra appointments, please follow these additional guidelines:

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.

  • Avoid dental work, including cleanings, for two weeks before and after treatment to avoid potential bacteremia.

  • Avoid vaccines for a minimum of two weeks before and after treatment to minimize inflammatory response.

  • Avoid blood thinners such as alcohol, Advil, Aspirin and herbs or supplements such as Omegas for at least 72 hours prior to treatment to decrease swelling, bruising and inflammation.

Botox Aftercare

Knowing the appropriate treatment aftercare to avoid complications & ensure optimal results!

Immediately After Treatment

Stay upright for a minimum of four hours after treatment. Avoid lying down, napping or having a massage during this time to prevent the toxin from diffusing into unwanted areas.

Exercise & Activity

Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that cause excessive sweating for approximately 12 hours following treatment. This helps prevent diffusion and bruising.

Redness, Swelling & Bruising

Some swelling and redness immediately after treatment are common and will usually subside within approximately 30 minutes. Bruising is also possible. Avoiding alcohol and medications such as Advil before treatment can help.

Results & Touch-Ups

Full results are seen after approximately two weeks. You may notice your Botox beginning to work sooner, but allow the full two weeks for your results to develop.

After two weeks, Angela can assess your results and touch up small areas if needed.

Filler Aftercare

Redness, Swelling & Bruising

Some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising can occur immediately after treatment and typically resolve within a few days. Tylenol can help with tenderness, while Arnica, either as a supplement or gel, may help reduce bruising.

If you notice unusual bruising or discolouration, always err on the side of caution and contact Angela as soon as possible.

Makeup

Avoid makeup for 12 hours following treatment. This helps prevent bacteria from entering the small injection sites following treatment.

Skincare

Resume your regular skincare routine the following day. On the evening of your treatment, use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer and avoid retinol and acids.

Sleeping

Avoid putting pressure on the treated areas while the product settles. Sleeping on your back is recommended for the first two to three days.

Massage

Gentle lip massage after treatment is okay. For the rest of the face, Angela's general rule is to leave the area alone if you cannot see any lumps.

If you can see a small lump or bump, you may gently massage the area and contact Angela as needed.

Follow-Up

A two-week follow-up is recommended to evaluate your results and ensure the best possible outcome.
